Gentle Yoga

Yin yoga directs stimulation normally created in the asana portion of the practice deeper than the muscular tissues. It targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, fascia, bones, and even joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much. Yin yoga typically targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine, so most of the poses are done in a seated or lying down position. We hold the poses longer, slowly enhancing range of motion.
